“Soul” is a word seldom used in Buddhism because of confusion in translating what the Buddha taught. In the broad Western sense, we all do have one. And mine, along with my citta (heart/mind), is contained in From Pain to Peace: How Trauma and Tragedy Teach Us Compassion and Wisdom.
In this brief video, I provide a glimpse of the book and its Kickstarter campaign.
Prospecta Press is publishing the book on September 15. Among the rewards I’m offering via Kickstarter is a Zoom Q&A book discussion with me on October 17. Everyone who pledges at least $5 will get an invitation. Another reward is a limited edition hand-numbered and autographed deluxe hardback.
Fifty-four of those books—the only hardcovers—were printed. Twenty-five of them were spoken for by my family, and five went in the first 30 hours of the campaign. So just 24 remain with four weeks to the end of the campaign.
The reward tiers range from $5 to $195.
Please help launch From Pain to Peace by visiting its Kickstarter Page and considering the reward packages or simply by making an advance purchase through one of these retailers.
May all be well and joyful.
