My book, The New Middle Way, is such a direct communication between author and reader that narrating it myself is essential. It took me months to train myself in the necessary technical skills, but the actual recording and editing is tedious work for a non-pro.
Although I’m happy with the way the first few chapters sound, I still have about two-thirds of the book remaining to record and upload to Audible for approval. In the meantime, ideas for blog posts (and possible content for a second book) arise and fade into the To-Come file as I push through the slow narration process.
In fairness to subscribers, I’m suspending charges to paid subscribers for a month. I may post something now and then or cross-post a Substack from someone else, but the taxi meter won’t start running again until July 7. After that, the new policy will be in effect—my regular Substack posts will be available only to paid subscribers.
The first-year archived posts will remain free to all, and new subscribers will have a one-week free trial.
I hope that around that time, you’ll see this available on Audible:
See you in July!
